Quit Facebook

“Around New Year, there’s is a peak in people googling ‘quit smoking’, but it appears that even more people try to figure out how to delete their Facebook account.” writes Dirk Kloosterboer in his blog.

When I try to help people to get out of Facebook they say that there are a few clubs, associations or organisations that can’t afford to inform people outside of Facebook with a newsletter or something. They post the announcement of their events on their Facebook page ‘because everyone is on Facebook’.

Now, you don’t have to login to Facebook to check these pages because those pages are often public.

Configure a robot to check those pages daily and send an e-mail when something is added to the page.

For example changedetection.com, but there are many others.
